Our Musical Director Craig Girvan
Craig has had experience conducting other bands over a number of years. He was Musical Director of the University of Kent Concert Band and has been a brass instrument instructor for various national Youth Band Festivals.
Craig has played trumpet for the University of Kent Symphony Orchestra and Brass Ensembles. In 1996 he played trumpet with a major band touring the USA, which included playing at the Olympic Games in Atlanta.
Craig has played trumpet in our band and became Musical Director in 2003. Craig has improved the standard of the band and aims to continue to do this, plus adding more challenging music.
